Over three years ago (June 22, 2005 to be precise) I started a blog. It developed into quite a community. At one point we had almost sixty bloggers. We were wholly dedicated to our cause. Several of us traveled the country for our man. I myself, personally traveled to Iowa, Massachusetts, Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, and California. We gave our all for our candidate. That candidate was not John McCain. He was Mitt Romney. I still run that blog because we still believe in him, but we also believe in our country. In politics, sometimes you win and sometimes you don't and to that end we've put our 100% effort into helping get McCain elected. Several of our visitors have questioned McCain's decision not to put Romney on the ticket with him. While I can understand their passion given all the time we've spent dedicated to him I understand why he's not. I believe that McCain made a brilliant choice in Sarah Palin and we're seeing that decision bear fruit. One day Mitt might run again, and he might not. It doesn't change the fact that those of us who support him always will no matter what he decides to do, but the task at hand is getting John McCain and Sarah Palin elected President and Vice President. We can not let a man like Obama ascend to his "throne". We need a man like John McCain who's fought for this country, who isn't beholden to big interests, and who'll puts Country First as our President. It's not necessarily a place where I desired or thought I would be three years ago, but I'm completely content to be here.
